This hardcover book with 192 full color pages and great illustrations presents Édouard-Marcel Sandoz (1881 - 1971).
The work of Édouard-Marcel Sandoz contains thousands of pieces, for the majority of animal inspiration.
In 1915 he met the famous porcelain manufacturer of Limoges, Théodore Haviland, who commissioned small pieces to fill his ovens.
Sandoz invented a new style of utilitarian objects: dishes, vases, inkwells, lamps... nearly a hundred pieces are created in less than ten years.
Produced in very large numbers, these objects have become very rare and are the delight of bargain hunters.
The author offers us the story of these creations and their complete catalogue raisonne.
