Jacques Adnet, by A.R. Hardy and G. Millet, Ed. de l'Amateur, 8-½ inches x 12-½ inches ( 22 cm x 31.5 cm ), hardcover book with 264 full color pages

This hardcover book of 264 color pages with hundreds illustrations presents the work of Jacques Adnet who was one of the greatest French designer of the 20th century.
Creator of pieces of furniture of a very great sobriety, Jacques Adnet (1900 - 1984) often works in collaboration with his brother Jean: design of furniture, joint exposures, and works for La Maîtrise.
From 1928 to 1958, he takes the direction of the "Compagnie des Arts Français" created by Mare and Süe.
He was surrounded by many artists who share his aesthetic aspirations: painters, ceramists, goldsmiths, silversmiths, coppersmiths and decorators.
After the Second World War he returns to the wood craft and remains in a very great purity design.
